M.PRANAVI BABU

MBA was a turning point in my life. After clicking at ICET, I earned my admission at RISHI UBR PG COLLEGE FOR WOMEN. this phase at college again was a life changing experience for my personality growth and development. On the creative front, I was always encouraged and was given maximum opportunities to explore and execute my smartness and talent and showcase my leadership skills. I could score marks in distinction with the guidance and under the careful supervision of our MBA faculty team.

I was then offered a job as an Assistant Professor at the college and then could further more explore the teaching skills and motivating faculties in me. I could genuinely render best services to the students for their betterment of the future. I still continue, in this profession, because of the blessings of my beloved secretary madam, the chief founder of the college, Ms. Rajesree Garu

The very strong urge to do business was always a dream from the very beginning, but didn’t know how to direct myself towards achieving it. But like they say, “When the time is right, it’s always right.”

MBA made it very easy and convenient to understand the entire picture of a start up, that included, budget analysis, market study, needs and preferences of the customers, market structure in general, types of proprietorship and business and more, like the statistics of the population demands, and healthy and cordial communication with clients and customers.

I then did a research study by going personally to the weavers and the manufacturers of sarees to observe and understand the dyeing technique used to pattern textiles. Traditionally, they were symbols of statues, wealth, power and prestige because of the time and intricate skill involved in the weaving process.

India’s rich heritage in handlooms while empowering the regional artisans(mostly women) became the dream of my business start up. The vision is to revive this dying art by transforming the traditional handloom and to contemporary outfits, and accessories in pure handwoven cotton and silk. We pay attention to details and the designs add elegance, boldness and grace. We offer simple and humble designs using our very own and known fabrics to make our souls sing with joy. Using the ancestral weaving process, we therefore salute our craftsman and are thankful to them for keeping this art alive.

Seeing my dedication of the background work in this field, my father,an ex-serviceman of the IAF, Group Captain MNP Babu gifted me a beautiful shop to run authentically.

September 2nd of 2017, BALAAJILADIESCORNER was officially incorporated. we launched our first, with a wide variety of clothes ready -to- wear, exclusively for women. We offered sarees from Kanchivaram, Ikkat, Venkatgiri, surat organza, Rajasthani bhandej and bandhani, embroidery lehengas from Delhi, Bengal cotton and Linen, and Kalamkari sarees from various other cities. We also offered kurtis and duppatas, with ethnic jewellery of black metal.

The idea was to “Go Desi, Grow Desi”
