OBJECTIVES:

1. To create awareness and opportunities in Research and Development among the faculty and students and to create Research and Development atmosphere in every department
2. To create atmosphere among the staff members to take up Research projects and improve their knowledge, skills and qualifications by registering Ph. D‘s
3. To motivate the faculty members for R&D activities in the area of their specialization
4. To encourage staff members and students to publish papers in National and reputed International Conferences/ Journals
5. To undertake research activities and development projects offered by agencies such as ICSSR, DST, AICTE, UGC, etc
6. To assist for applying and getting funds for conducting Seminar/Workshop/FDP from various available funding agencies
7. To participate in National/International Conferences, Training programs for learning and updating in research and development works by students and faculty members
8. To facilitate the growth of research activity among the academic community
9. To conduct faculty level workshops and staff development activities on research-related issues

SCOPE:

1. Encourage to write and forward research proposals for financial support to different funding agencies and announce incentives once the project is sanctioned
2. Provide autonomy to the Principal investigators as per the guidelines provided by the funding authorities
3. Give due consideration in promotion and salary advancement on paper publication/ getting patents etc by laying out standards based on citation indices, impact factors, quality of patents etc.
4. Sponsoring faculty and students to present papers at National /International
   conferences as per the stipulated guidelines mentioned in the Quality Document of the institute
5. Obtain information once in three months in the prescribed format on faculty involvement on guiding students, paper publications, research projects from external funding agencies and involving in collaborative research activity
